Make Goomba A Character In Every Game

WE NEED MORE GOOMBA

So there's this little guy named Goomba. He's like a walking poisonous mushroom. You may remember him from such games as Super Mario Bros or one of its many spin-offs. This Goomba is like always a bad guy. Not only is he a bad guy, but he's portrayed as the loser bad guy. He doesn't even have any arms. He's like a pawn on a chess board. Sometimes they give him wings, sometimes they make him giant, but the end result is usually the same: he's like the rodent of the Mario world. I for one have had enough. I want to see more Goomba STARTING NOW! I don't want him on the sidelines, I want him to be the star.

Take the most recent game in which Goomba appears: Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii. Goomba appears, but again as a little cockroach sort of character. You can't fight as him. You can fight as like 30 pokemon, but not as one Goomba? It's outrageous. Goomba's been a loyal soldier in Bowser's army for over twenty years and you can't even let him fight on his own? I've searched forum after forum, convinced that there must be a way to unlock him. But no, nothing.

My dream of course is to have a Goomba game, where you meet Goomba's family and friends. Or perhaps it can be the original Super Mario but from the perspective of Goomba. Like how Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is Hamlet from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern's perspective. Same deal. Switch the script a bit. In fact, it'll be a deeper game because the bad guy is not only this Italian plumber Mario but Goomba's oppressive boss Bowser, who always sacrifices Goomba's for the "greater good."

I know there are millions of you out there who want to see a Goomba game or want Goomba to be a playable character in the next Smash Brothers or the next Mario Tennis or the next Mario/Sonic Olympics (Goomba could tear up the shot put). Sure, you can play with Goomba in Mario Baseball but he's just a filler role. He's not glamorized at all. It's clearly some Goomba tokenism. Some Goomba affirmative action. And I've had enough. Consider this a petition
